| New HQ for Boal & Co
 |
Boal & Co will mark its move to new headquarters
in the Isle of Man Business Park with an official
opening by the Chief Minister, the Hon Tony Brown
MHK, in early November.
One of the Island’s leading actuarial and
pensions firms, Boal & Co has moved from Parliament
Square in Castletown, its base for the last decade,
to Marquis House – a brand new 5,200sq ft office
in the Isle of Man Business Park.
Boal & Co, which now employs 12 people, specialises
in actuarial services to offshore insurance companies,
on and off the Island, and in the provision of pension
scheme solutions for individuals and companies. The
company also has an office in Ireland and is a member
of Abelica Global, an organisation comprised of actuarial
consulting firms recognised as leaders in their respective
countries.

Managing director Gary
Boal explained:
‘We have grown very strongly in the last year.
The pace of new business has accelerated even more
rapidly in the past six months, fuelled by the success
of our international pension administration and pension
trustee business.’ |

Director Mark Kiernan added:
‘We provide pension solutions to advisers
and individuals, both locally and internationally.
Locally, we have created solutions for leading IFAs
when the last remaining UK insurance company pulled
out from the Island – a local solution to a
local pensions problem. Internationally, we are working
too with many IFAs and other professionals in the
Far East and Middle East. Demand has also lately
been high from international company pensions schemes,
with a number of very well-known major international
companies now pension clients of the firm.
‘All of this business demand has created new
jobs, building on a strong existing base, and our
move to larger premises will facilitate further job
creation during the rest of 2009 and into 2010. These
are very exciting times for the business, and for
our staff.’ |
Gary Boal added:
‘We have purchased Marquis House – a significant
investment - with an eye firmly on the long-term. However,
we retain our links to Castletown through ownership of
our former premises there, which are already fully let
out to two local businesses.
‘Whilst sad to leave Castletown in many ways, the
larger accommodation available in the Isle of Man Business
Park suits our current and future needs perfectly. An increasing
number of financial organisations are moving to the
Business Park as it is modern and easily accessible, with
excellent parking facilities for both clients and staff.
We are delighted that the Chief Minister has kindly agreed
to visit Marquis House and officially open our new headquarters.’
