QROPS Boal & Co are a firm of actuaries and pension consultants and specialising in all aspects of international pensions. We have 15 years’ experience in offshore transfer of UK pensions, and we are trustee or administrator to over £400m of offshore pension scheme assets. From 2006, overseas pension transfers have been possible only if the overseas scheme is registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (“QROPS”). Boal & Co have led the way in QROPS, with many such schemes established in the Isle of Man (under two different sets of legislation), and a further scheme (Synergy) established in Guernsey. From 1 November 2010, our QROPS range reaches new heights with the launch of Trinity, a QROPS scheme approved under new Isle of Man “50C” legislation (which we were instrumental in creating). Trinity is a highly innovative, yet totally compliant QROPS, which introduces new, tax-efficient benefit possibilities previously unavailable to any Isle of Man or Guernsey (or other) QROPS. Trinity re-defines the QROPS market.
